This ornate pair of chairs date back around a century. We completely refinished them to match their original manufacturers design. The customer selected the eye popping tight red/white stripe upholstery which also draws from early 20th century decor.

This client had this table made over two decades ago. When it was time to modernize the home, the need to refinish the table was obvious. Going flat black was both bold, sleek, and modern, allowing it to both be the center piece of the room with out taking over all the energy of the space.

We estimate this table to be about 150 years old. Freshly refinished, it surprisingly needed very literal repair or structural upgrades. They really don’t make’em like they used to. High quality construction and choice woods make our work that much more enjoyable.

This bench was custom made for this exact space over 100 years ago at the Evanston’s Womens Club for ticket taker to have a place to sit while working. Recently, the club has done a major overhaul of their event space, formal rooms, and now this entry stairwell to the big hall. When this family moved, downsizing, they had to balance the use of their table - it is both the kitchen table for daily use, and the expands to be the dining table for company. This age-old classic set shines from the french door sun. Like jeans, farmhouse sets never go out of style. This pine set had been painted, warn, and was all but given up for dead. After an exploratory strip of part of the table, we knew this set was going to not only be brought to life, but become the center piece of daily use in a beautiful kitchen.

These are the faces of three, over hundred year old, bedroom chest drawers. The client elected to go true natural, giving The Wood Wizzard’s craftsmanship to be seen in a completely unfiltered, unstained, pure tone. The chatoyance, or ripples in the grain are brought out through layers of hand sanding, bringing mother nature’s beauty out. The durable top coat can barely be seen in the picture, as it was taken in direct sunlight, exposing color and grain to a maximum.

This dining room was redone top to bottom. This family had this table custom made decades ago while living overseas, and brought back with them upon returning to Chicagoland. We worked with them and their decorator to create this magnificent look for their unique table, sitting as the centerpiece to their beautiful welcoming dining room.

This hi-boy chest of drawers had been grandma's, now it resides in the eldest son's room. This very unique burl-oak chest, likely from the 40' or 50's, still have the original hardware. Refinished in its natural color, bringing out the most in the burl wood grain and tones, the cabinet is ready to be used for generations.
